 What's new in this release
The 1.0.4 update is recommended for all SlingPlayer for Mac users. This update includes many general bug fixes, adds some new virtual remotes, UK localization, and a new version of firmware for your Slingbox. If you are in the UK, be sure to download the UK version for the best experience.

SlingStream is a proprietary streaming technology specifically designed to address varying network conditions while optimizing your video playback experience. SlingStream provides the best possible video experience by continuously monitoring your connection speed and dynamically adjusting the video compression ratios to match your available network bandwidth.
SlingRemote acts almost exactly like your real remote control, giving you full control over your viewing experience. From changing channels to setting your DVR to record your favorite shows, you can do it using buttons right on your computer screen. Includes support for controlling your Apple TV, Macintosh with Front Row or an iPod in an Apple Universal Dock or in an iPod Hi-Fi.
The Slingbox Directory shows you every Slingbox that is on your local network or that you have set up remotely. This makes it easy to connect to your Slingbox.
Three viewing modes that give you flexibility in your viewing style:
- Resizable Window - move it around your display just like any other application, making it small or large
- SlingBar - docks the SlingPlayer on either the right or left side of your display, allowing you to watch your television and work with other applications simultaneously
- Full Screen - for a real break, watch your shows as big as your screen can get
Extensive customizable settings allow you to fine-tune your viewing experience and view streaming statistics.
Manual Audio & Video Controls
- You make subtle changes to your input signal. You can adjust audio volume, as well as brightness, contrast, saturation, and hue for each input.
Favorites Bar
- Now your favorite channels are only one click away! Place shortcuts to your most frequently watched channels in the Favorites Bar. You can create custom channel icons with any picture on your computer! You can even import Favorites from the PC version of SlingPlayer.
Also includes an easy drag-and-drop install, an improved look-and-feel and an integrated Setup Assistant.
