There are some situations that might cause your Palm Treo to reset unexpectedly while you are watching TV with the SlingPlayer Mobile for Palm OS. The same situations can sometimes cause the SlingPlayer Mobile for Palm OS to warn you that you have a weak signal when you actually have a strong one.
While we don't have a fool-proof solution that will make these issues go away completely, there are some things you can do to mitigate these interruptions.
Why is this happening?
-
Incompatibility between SlingPlayer Mobile and other applications
Key examples of such incompatibility are certain email features in VersaMail, Chatter Mail, or wireless sync software on your Treo.
-
Outdated firmware
What can I do?
-
Download the latest firmware updates for your device. Visit the Palm web site (www.palm.com) or your mobile carrier to see if there is an update for your device.
-
If you use VersaMail, think about doing one of the following before you start streaming:
-
Turn off AutoSync
-
With AutoSync still turned on, uncheck all Alerts
-
Choosing a less frequent sync interval can also reduce reset probability
-
If you use Chatter Mail, turn off syncing for all mailboxes (or set them to offline).
- If you're using wireless sync software, disable it while you're watching SlingPlayer.
