What's new in SlingPlayer 2.0.3 for Windows?

SlingPlayer 2.0.3 for Windows offers several improvements to make your Slingbox viewing experience as good as it can be. Among these changes:

  • Enhanced "under the hood" improvements for optimum streaming.
  • Connection diagnostic messages that appear if SlingPlayer 2.0.3 for Windows determines that there's a condition that you should be aware of.
  • More choices for SlingStream audio/video optimization in the SlingPlayer Options - Encoding box.
  • Audio Track settings, so you can listen to alternate audio tracks (if offered by the program that you are currently watching).

SlingPlayer 2.0.3 also offers new Slingbox Software for most Slingbox units. Slingbox Software is the "internal" software that makes your Slingbox tick. The first time you launch SlingPlayer 2.0.3, you'll be prompted if your Slingbox needs to be updated. The Slingbox Setup Assistant then helps you with this very easy process. It's very important to do, yet it takes only a moment or two.

Note: For best results, wait until you're within your home network before updating your Slingbox Software. Although highly unlikely, you might need to press the reset button on your Slingbox. The update's very important, but it can wait until you're home.
