Senior Embedded Engineer / Embedded Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and debug Networking software for digital video products targeting the "Digital Home"
• Responsible for design and implementation of kernel mode device drivers and interfaces for multimedia products
• Responsible for framework design & development for multimedia products
• Institute process methodologies to enable efficient design/development and ensure introduction of "First time right" products

Education and Experience Required

• B.E./M.E. (Electronics or Computer Engineering) with 3-6 years experience in design and development of real time embedded software for multimedia applications
• Strong C/C++ programming skills with expertise in well structured and documented analysis, design and coding
• Software development of middleware, application and UI development with Linux and C.
• Experience in embedded system software solutions for streaming protocols, Digital Television (DTV), Connected TVs, Set Top Box (STB), DVB, ATSC, IPTV standards
• Desirable to have experience in implementation/porting/customization/optimization of networking applications/protocol stacks on any embedded OS/platform

Education

• Familiarity with a wide range of current video and image processing techniques and digital video compression standards such as MPEG-2, MPEG-4, H.264, Windows Media Video and JPEG is desirable
• Television broadcast standards – analog and digital such as NTSC, PAL, ATSC, DVB, etc.
