Engineer/Sr. Engineer, Web Technology

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for the design, development and testing (unit tests) applications for Sling Media’s web infrastructure. Understand and contribute towards the portal and back-end architectures. Develop algorithms/components/API that will help creating a faster, scalable and maintainable web infrastructure.

Education and Experience Required

• Bachelors in Engineering, Computer Science or related fields preferred
• Required experience is 3-5yrs in Java/J2EE applications.
• Good in core Java, IO
• Strong experience in Networking concepts and IO would be desirable/bonus.
• Experience on any MVC frameworks
• Experience on any Service Oriented Architecture
• Good at HTML/Javascript, AJAX, CSS
• Experience building applications with Webservers like Apache Tomcat.
• ANT scripting
• Should have knowledge on versioning systems (e.g. Subversion, CVS, Clearcase)
• Should have good knowledge on any testing tool (JUNIT)
• Should have knowledge on any Bug tracking tool (e.g. JIRA, Bugzilla).
• Good at SQLs and complex queries
• Good knowledge on RDBMS
• Linux, Windows
• Additional experience in Grails, Rails, REST, SOAP would be desirable.
• Experience in Maven would be desirable.
• Experience in Data warehousing, Hadoop, any Business Intelligence Reporting tool would be desire.
